Mic actually combined 2 comments into my GIF, so it’s a little misleading. No ones ever told me “you don’t even look black” that was said by Danielle, who followed my original comment. but I was a bit lighter when I was a kid so I got “are you mixed with something?” largely because of my nose. I even heard “you’re so lucky you don’t have a black nose” which is ridiculous because….I’m black and this is my nose! Hello anti-blackness disguised as a compliment!
