SONG OF THE MONTH IS: [Good Bye (Hide)] This is one of the beautiful songs that I heard from Hide and I can see why. The guitar starts off with Hide's voice and the tabs are awesome, considering he's only using an acoustic guitar. The song has a sad melody that develops as the songs progresses. The drums accompany the guitars on the start of chorus and then it is mellowed down to accomodate the guitar. This slow paced song can relax as well as put you in a somber mood.
[1] Steal (Luna Sea) [4:16 mins] This song is from Luna Sea's Album called Eden. Nice guitar tabs is oneof the things I've noticed with this song. The song reminds me of something laid back and the vocalist's voice compliments the music well.
[2] Purple Sky (Pierrot) [4:13 mins] This songs opens with a somewhat distorted guitar and the melody develops as the guitar removes the distortion. The vocalists voice is pretty silent and the melody carries it along as the songs develops. The chorus is composed of a good guitar tabs and bass as well. This song is from Pierrot's Single titled Agitator.
[3] What is Love? (L'arc-en ciel) [4:12 mins] This song is from their Ark Album. This song opens with the vocalist's falsetto, coupled with excellent bass and guitar tabs. The song is like a see saw, the melody slows and then it will hasten as it comes to the middle and then slows down again.
[4] OblaatiRemix VersionJ (Hide) [4:43 mins] From Hide's King of Psyborg Rock album. This is the first time I heard this song of Hide and as always, Hide put the fun in a song. In the chorus, there are a couple of background vocals and then Hide will take over the song from there.
[5] Oboro (Blood) [3:10 mins] This song is from Blood's first self-entitled album. This song starts with a guitar and then the other instruments follows. The chorus is a series of cries from the vocalist. Oboro is some sort of a sad song, with a sad melody that becomes harder when it comes to the chorus part.
[6] Bois de Merveilles (Malice Mizer) [1:54 mins] This song is from Malice Mizer's Merveilles albums. This is a short song and the trademark of Malice is there. Ths song is coupled with series of violins and guitars, making people feel the gothic era in Europe.
[7] Dear... From XXX (Miyavi) [5:52 mins] Miyavi's song Dear... from XX starts with a great guitar tabs, and I assumed that it was played by him (being a guitarist himself). This song is completely done by an acoustic guitar. Melody develops as the Miyav's voice goes into the chorus. This is from his Gagaku Album.
[8] La Dix Croix (Moi Dix Mois) [5:04 mins] From their self-titled album. The trademark of Malice Mizer was passed to this band since Mana started his own. The gothic era in Europe is revived in this song. Organ Piano is played as the music comences and the music develops it melody by it.
[9] Chinese Shounen (Psycho le Cemu) [3:16 mins] This song really amuses me to no end. The start of the song, you can hear the chinese influence in it, hence the title of the song. As the chorus starts, there are a couple of more voices in it, not only the vocalist. There is a couple shouting "Hai" and then aother one sings "Chinese Boy" in the background as the vocalist sings the chorus. A rap is also included after the second chorus.
[10] Longing (X Japan) [4:21] This song is in guitar form only, with no vocals whatsoever. The main focus here is the guitar tabs made for this song. This is a very relaxing song that I recommend you to listen to it when the situation seems to tense up.
